Since our
breed is relatively rare, the German Longhaired Pointer Club of
North America is working very hard to promote our breed by
spreading the news of our new club and our dogs throughout the
continent. Our Public Relations Director does an excellent
job of contacting various media outlets throughout the United
States and Canada to inform hunters about German Longhaired
Pointers and their outstanding natural ability in the field and
water. We are now starting to see several articles published
about our breed. A small sample of these articles can be
viewed below. Also, expect to see a breed profile for the
German Longhaired Pointer in an upcoming issue of The Pointing Dog
Journal.
Another member of the GLPCNA has started a MySpace page
dedicated to the breed and the club. Simply visit www.myspace.com
and search for "GLPCNA" to view the profile and post
comments. Its very exciting to have some many sources of
information on the German Longhair.
